Sustainability for Strategic Advantage
Microsoft has introduced a sustainability module in Business Central, yet most of our customers won't be required to report on emissions until 2028 (if at all). So why should they care now?
This session explores how sustainability can be leveraged not just as a compliance checkbox, but as a strategic differentiator. We'll unpack how forward-thinking businesses are using sustainability to strengthen customer relationships, win new business, and future-proof their operations. Whether it's aligning with procurement expectations, enhancing brand reputation, or unlocking operational efficiencies, sustainability is becoming a key lever for competitive advantage.
As partners, we have a real opportunity - and responsibility - to lead this conversation. Microsoft, as a leading vendor, has laid the groundwork, and now it's up to us to amplify it. It's not that we'd be irresponsible if we didn't, but what kind of message would it send if our customers hear about sustainability best practices from our competitors before they hear it from us?
By helping our customers see beyond regulation and into the realm of strategic value, we can deepen our engagements, expand our solution offerings, and position ourselves as trusted advisors in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Speakers:
Nick Rouse
Senior Solution Architect for Dynamics 365 at FUJIFILM MicroChannel
Nick has worked for Microsoft partners since he finished his undergrad in 2007, covering Dynamics AX and other related solutions before working in the global finance team of DXC Technology. Moving back into a customer-facing architect role in 2018 , Nick has been focused on BC and the wider D365 ecosystem and how our customers can better utilise the tools they have to get the most out of their Microsoft investment.
Business Central Day ANZ 2025 will be held on 27 November 2025 at Microsoft Sydney, Level 27/1 Denison Street, North Sydney, NSW 2060, Australia.
