Microsoft presents: Sales Order agent. Introducing AI agents in Business Central
With this release, we're expanding the use of AI to allow our customers to optimize their business processes using AI agents. Agents can work autonomously, perform assigned tasks, respond to different events and inputs, reason over the state of data, and overcome errors based on user input and the context of the Business Central user experience. Agents require minimal to no intervention from users, while bringing them in if circumstances require their attention. Agents can act on behalf of a company, department, or team, not just a user. To allow our customers to experience this capability in Business Central, we're introducing preview of our first out-of-the-box agent, the Sales Order agent, which automates the process of taking sales quotes and orders.

Christian Heide Damm is the cloud architect of Business Central and is responsible for the overall design of the Business Central Online architecture. Christian has been part of the entire NAV/BC journey to the cloud and continues to be passionate about all things SaaS and cloud architecture.
Esteban Ardaya Heckl
Principal Software Engineer
Esteban is a Principal Software Engineer who has played a pivotal role in the Business Central service team since its inception.
He has been instrumental in implementing the Business Central cloud platform and the core components of the Business Central control plane from its very conception.
His expertise has been a constant asset in tackling complex challenges across various dimensions of the service, such as load balancing, optimizing scalability, and enhancing the service's reliability.
Recently, his primary focus has been on building the Business Central AI agents runtime.
