Microsoft presents: We have too many events!
We have more than 25.000 events in the application code. Knowing which event to use is not easy. Refactoring code without breaking is not easy. We keep adding more events. Will we ever have enough events? Do we need all these events? Are there other ways of making code extensible? Can we or should we reduce the number of events?
When we design features with extensibility in mind, we see roughly 10x less events are added in code. Why is that?
This session is to provide some insight into the thinking at MS. It's not presenting a general solution, rather it's a conversation starter
