Making GitHub Copilot Smarter: Enhanced Context and Actions via Metadata and Tools
GitHub Copilot is a powerful assistant—but it doesn't have to work alone.
In this session, you'll learn how to extend Copilot's understanding of your project with custom metadata, symbol information from dependencies, and bespoke query methods. We'll explore how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) can be used to expose meaningful context and tools Copilot can leverage for smarter, more relevant suggestions and actions. You'll see several practical, AL specific scenarios in action and learn how to create your own lightweight MCP server for VS Code in minutes.

Development Standards Lead at Node4 (TNP)
I am a .net developer that moved to Microsoft Dynamics NAV world in 2004. I've been working with both c# and Dynamics NAV and later BC since that date. During that time, I was developing and designing both customer-specific solutions and products. Currently, I am working as development standards lead for The Nav People. I am also the author of the open-source AZ AL Dev Tools extension for Visual Studio Code, which helps AL developers with their everyday tasks.
