Leverage Power Automate to extend Power BI functionalities
Power BI offers a huge number of amazing built-in features. There are though some limitations that can’t be bypassed using out-of-the-box techniques available in Power BI. Nevertheless, users of your reports might still be keen to have some of these features at hand. Leveraging Power Automate is a great and easy way to extend the capabilities of Power BI. Selected use-cases, which we will walk through the live demos of this session include:
1. Sending emails from Power BI
2. Automated and on-demand data exports
3. Custom semantic model (dataset) refresh schedules and on-demand refresh
4. Writeback feature
During this session, we will explore a number of business-driven use cases of Power BI and Power Automate working together to enhance each other’s functionality. You will learn how to bypass some out-of-the-box limitations of Power BI with smart Power Automate flows, leveling up the reporting and alert capabilities available.
After this session, you will:
• Understand the different ways to integrate Power BI and Power Automate.
• Be able to build a number of use-cases leveraging Power BI and Power Automate.
• Know a number of tips and tricks when implementing these solutions.
It would be great if before attending the session you would have intermediate experience working with Power BI and an introductory level of knowledge of Power Automate.
