Directions EMEA 2024

Directions EMEA is the "Go To" place where Dynamics partners share the future. It's the preferred global community for collaborating and learning from Microsoft, MVPs, ISVs, VARs and their peers. The focus is on helping the SMB market unlock its full potential in technical, business development and strategy with ERP, CRM, and Cloud solutions, including the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Azure.

How we handle large Business Central customers in SaaS

12:00 - 12:45 Hall N1+N2 (375) Back to event schedule

“I have a customer with 350 users. Can I run it on SaaS?”. “I have a customer that posts 1000 invoices with 1000 lines each every day. Can I run it on SaaS?”.
These are only some of the common questions that many partners are continuously raising when they need to approach what is called a “big customer”. Is the Business Central SaaS platform really able to run such big customers, despite the standard Microsoft's benchmarks? Or the cloud platform is not a great choice for the giants?
We currently manage some of the “biggest Business Central SaaS customers” (numbers that you recently saw in some conference keynotes) and in this session we want to share our real-world experience of running and maintaining a big customer in the cloud.
What are the main problems we had running the giants in the cloud?
What best practices we adopted? What were the technical aspects we worked on to maximize performance? What technology and techniques we used to handle massive integrations at best? What are our recommendations and tips for successfully running a "giant" in the cloud?
If you're currently working with a large Business Central customer (on-premises or SaaS) or if you plan to propose Business Central SaaS to a large customer, this is probably a session that you don't need to miss.
