In this session, attendees will get to peer into the inner workings of today's small and medium sized businesses to learn their unique challenges, business and technology priorities, and how ERP and financial applications can support their rapid pace of growth. As Senior Director, Worldwide Small and Medium Business Markets at IDC, Katie's role includes identifying and supporting the unique, evolving technology needs of Very Small, Small and Medium Businesses.
Katie has a strong, SMB-focused research and writing background, having covered the technology needs of SMBs in the retail and ecommerce space for over 12 years before joining IDC three years ago. Earlier in her career, she conducted extensive writing and research on mobile and international ecommerce while also spearheading custom projects for SMB vendors.
At IDC, she combines qualitative and quantitative SMB research, melding market research with frequent conversations with SMBs and the vendors that work with them. She advises more than 20 SMB technology suppliers on how to better reach and assist SMBs while also balancing several custom assignments from a wide range of technology suppliers. She is a frequent expert SMB speaker and moderator at virtual and live events worldwide.
